Trastornos de la conducta alimentaria

RESUMEN
Los trastornos de la conducta alimentaria constituyen un grupo de enfermedades multifactoriales y graves. Junto con el asma y la obesidad, son las enfermedades crónicas más comunes en adolescentes. Los principales trastornos son la anorexia, la bulimia y trastornos restrictivos no especificados, cuyos criterios diagnósticos han sido recientemente modificados. En este artículo se hace una revisión sobre este tema, haciendo énfasis sobre el diagnóstico y tratamiento. En general, el manejo multidisciplinario es fundamental, donde la participación de la familia es necesaria. La identificación en etapas tempranas por el pediatra es relevante, ya que ayudará a que la recuperación sea más eficiente.
