RESUMEN

Los pacientes de edad avanzada requieren ser atendidos en los departamentos de radiología e imagen por radiólogos de amplia experiencia y con personal e instalaciones adecuadas. Las imágenes radiológicas y de otros métodos de imagen deben ser analizados cuidadosamente para diferenciar las alteraciones que tienen importancia clínica de los cambios crónico degenerativos presentes en la mayoría de los individuos después de la sexta década de la vida.
