Insuficiencia venosa crónica y enfermedad hemorroidal en México: Opinión de expertos

RESUMEN
La insuficiencia venosa crónica y la enfermedad hemorroidal son padecimientos que afectan significativamente
la calidad de vida de los pacientes. Por lo general, tanto los médicos de primer contacto
como los pacientes pasan por alto la magnitud del problema hasta que se presentan complicaciones
de consideración y deben ser referidos a un especialista. El diagnóstico no es preciso y el tratamiento
resulta poco efectivo en numerosos casos, lo cual se traduce en deterioro de la calidad de
vida, además de una carga económica y laboral. El presente documento tiene como objetivos exponer
la opinión de los expertos para crear conciencia en la población acerca del peligro que implica
consultar datos falsos en la web y usar los productos milagro; así como resaltar la necesidad de desarrollar
las guías mexicanas actualizadas para uniformar criterios, conformar un diagnóstico más
preciso e implementar un tratamiento efectivo para estas patologías.
