Chikungunya en niños: emergencia de una nueva enfermedad en Sonora, México. Presentación de seis casos clínicos

RESUMEN
Objetivo: Describir las características clínicas y de laboratorio de la enfermedad exantemática por virus de chikungunya (CHIKV).
Material y métodos: Revisión de expedientes clínicos con diagnóstico de CHIKV ocurridos en el Hospital Infantil del Estado de Sonora durante el año 2015.
Resultados: Cinco casos se resolvieron sin complicaciones en la fase aguda y un caso desarrolló artritis y artralgias con tres meses de evolución sin secuelas ortopédicas. Un caso con trombocitopenia leve, cuatro niños desarrollaron linfopenia y un caso con neutropenia, leucopenia y linfopenia.
Conclusiones: Los seis casos mostraron una evolución favorable, ningún niño presentó encorvamiento por dolor, rasgo característico de la enfermedad, ni secuelas posteriores.
