FRAGMENTO
La encefalopatía hepática (EH) es un desorden de la función del sistema nervioso central, debida fundamentalmente a la presencia de grados variables de insuficiencia hepática, teniendo un gran impacto en la calidad de vida del paciente. Ésta tiene un trasfondo seguramente multifactorial, siendo el amonio, producto derivado principalmente del intestino, un factor importante.
