Una mujer de 66 años de edad con historia de diabetes mellitus e hipertensión arterial de 4 años de evolución, fue admitida al Servicio de Urgencias de nuestro hospital debido a un cuadro caracterizado por insuficiencia respiratoria aguda, síndrome urémico, dolor abdominal y diarrea abundante.
