Aplicaciones y uso del dermatoscopio en la dermatología general. Una revisión

RESUMEN
La dermatoscopía es una técnica auxiliar de diagnóstico no invasiva
que permite incrementar la certeza diagnóstica en diversas
enfermedades cutáneas. Si bien su aplicación en la evaluación
de lesiones pigmentadas y en la detección temprana de cáncer
de piel es bien conocida, el uso del dermatoscopio en la
dermatología general hoy en día va desde procesos infecciosos
(entomodermatoscopía), trastornos inflamatorios (inflamoscopía),
padecimientos ungueales, alopecia y trastornos capilares,
hasta su uso como auxiliar diagnóstico para el dermatopatólogo
(dermatoscopía
ex vivo). En este artículo de revisión se pretende
brindar ejemplos y una breve revisión de las aplicaciones del
dermatoscopio en la dermatología general para resaltar el valor
de su uso en la práctica clínica diaria para el dermatólogo.
