RESUMEN

En esta revisión se analizan diversas formas terapéuticas de abordaje en la hiperplasia prostática benigna. Algunas en comparación con el estándar de oro. Resección transuretral de próstata, ésta representa en nuestro medio 95% de las cirugías de próstata. Se mencionan las complicaciones transoperatorias y postoperatorias, en cada una de las técnicas empleadas.
