RESUMEN

Las náuseas y vómitos postopetatorios son todavía un efecto adverso común relacionado con la anestesia que aumenta la morbilidad, la insatisfacción del paciente y el costo de los servicios de salud. Se ha realizado estudios recientes que intentan determinar los factores de riesgo asociados y opciones de manejo para obtener mejores resultados y mejorar la terapéutica dada a los pacientes así como su retorno a sus actividades de vida diaria.
