¿Cuál es el papel de las feromonas en la conducta sexual humana?

RESUMEN
El papel funcional de las feromonas en la conducta sexual en humanos ha sido objeto de controversia en los últimos años. Las feromonas son sustancias químicas, que utilizan los animales para comunicarse entre sí, produciendo en el sujeto receptor conductas estereotipadas.
El órgano vomeronasal, lo mismo que en otras especies inferiores, está presente en los humanos adultos y es la estructura donde se localizan los receptores que detectan las feromonas. El 1% de todo el genoma humano está diseñado para detectar estímulos olfatorios.
