  7. This mobile-unit modality was  rst used by the Henry Reeve Emergency Medical Contingent during their 6-month disaster relief mission in Pakistan following the October 2005 earthquake. The extreme Himalayan geography, combined with lack of transport and roads, often prevented patients from reaching  eld hospitals and health posts.
