Sarna costrosa en una lactante con dermatitis atópica. Revisión de la literatura

RESUMEN
La escabiasis es una ectoparasitosis causada por el ácaro
Sarcoptes scabiei variedad
hominis, que se transmite por contacto directo o por fómites; la dermatosis es característica e intensamente pruriginosa. La escabiasis costrosa o sarna noruega, es una variedad atípica, caracterizada por intensa reacción inflamatoria, lesiones escamocostrosas, hiperqueratósicas y poco pruriginosas con tendencia a la generalización, que se presenta generalmente en personas inmunocomprometidas, ancianos, niños o pacientes que han estado bajo tratamiento con esteroides o inmunosupresores. Presentamos el caso de una lactante con dermatitis atópica y sarna noruega, que requirió para sanar varios ciclos de tratamiento tópico.
