Guía para el diagnóstico y el tratamiento del edema macular diabético en derechohabientes del ISSSTE

RESUMEN

Debido al impacto que la retinopatía diabética tiene sobre las personas en edad laboral el enfoque de un tratamiento adecuado a largo plazo se ha evaluado con base en estudios multicéntricos. Teniendo en cuenta las particularidades de los pacientes mexicanos, expertos médicos del ISSSTE llegaron a un acuerdo sobre el mejor tratamiento y seguimiento de los procedimientos para los pacientes con edema macular diabético, la principal causa de pérdida de visión moderada para estos pacientes. Se concluyó que el mejor curso de tratamiento para el paciente y la institución es un esquema de carga del antiangiogénico ranibizumab, seguido de evaluaciones mensuales para considerar retratamiento.
