Tromboembolia pulmonar: revisión sistemática y algoritmo diagnóstico-terapéutico

RESUMEN
La tromboembolia pulmonar aguda es una patología que en México y en todo el mundo se registra entre 20 a 30%
de los resultados de necropsia; sin embargo, la proporción del diagnóstico realizado en pacientes vivos es menor
de 10%; un gran acúmulo de información aparece cada año acerca de predictores clínicos, herramientas de
diagnóstico, métodos y fármacos para manejo agudo y crónico. En el presente trabajo se realizó una revisión
sistemática de las bases de datos internacionales de los últimos 10 años, seleccionando las publicaciones de
mayor impacto, complementando con artículos de relevancia y las nuevas guías publicadas en Europa (2014). El
documento está organizado en siete secciones: introducción, metodología, epidemiología, manifestaciones clínicas
y abordaje diagnóstico, severidad, manejo agudo y manejo crónico, permitiendo al lector sistematizar la
información, que se suma en dos algoritmos de manejo (embolia pulmonar estable e inestable).
