Miocardiopatía hipertrófica. A propósito de un caso

RESUMEN

La miocardiopatía hipertrófica obstructiva es una enfermedad hereditaria autosómica dominante, con una variada expresividad clínica, morfológica y genética. Es la causa más frecuente de muerte súbita en adolescentes y adultos jóvenes. Se presenta el caso de un paciente con antecedentes familiares de muerte súbita que acude a nuestro servicio con disnea y molestias precordiales. Se le realizó ecocardiograma donde se constata la existencia de miocardiopatía hipertrófica obstructiva con gradiente significativo en el tracto de salida del ventrículo izquierdo, utilizando los criterios diagnósticos del American College of Cardiology.
