RESUMEN
El síndrome de distrés respiratorio agudo (SDRA) es una entidad clínica que no sólo involucra lesión alveolar, sino también se caracteriza por lesión capilar pulmonar, hipertensión pulmonar y cor
pulmonale agudo. Considerando el pronóstico desfavorable en pacientes con afección de ventrículo derecho, la ventilación protectora de ventrículo derecho es crucial en el manejo del SDRA. El objetivo de esta revisión es describir el enfoque de ventilación de protección de ventrículo derecho en el SDRA enfatizando la importancia de la implementación de la ecocardiografía.
