Hombre de 53 años de edad a quien se le diagnosticó
diabetes en forma incidental dos años antes. Se
trataba regularmente con su médico familiar. Trabajaba
como chofer foráneo, consumía alcohol en forma
moderada y fumaba 20 cigarrillos al día. Su padre
tuvo diabetes y un infarto del miocardio; su madre,
hipertensión arterial. Se sabía hipertenso desde
cinco años previos y le practicaron una colecistectomía
11 años previos.
