Intervención con ejercicios terapéuticos en la fractura vertebral osteoporótica

RESUMEN
Se realizó una revisión con el propósito de revisar tratamientos a través de la
cinesioterapia para la mejoría del dolor y el balance postural en mujeres con
fractura vertebral osteoporótica. Se consideraron ensayos clínicos controlados
aleatorios que evaluaran ejercicios para mujeres mayores de 50 años con
fractura vertebral osteoporótica. Dos revisores examinaron de forma
independiente 640 resúmenes para la inclusión de solo 4 de éstos en esta
revisión, de acuerdo con los criterios de elegibilidad. Se encontró al alivio del
dolor en dos de los cuatros programas. Respecto al balance tres estudios
refirieron cambios significativamente positivos. Al explorar la calidad de vida,
dos de tres estudios reportaron mejoría significativa. Se concluyó que el
tratamiento cinesiológico en mujeres con fractura vertebral osteoporótica, a
base de ejercicios sistemáticos de estiramiento y fortalecimiento, en el hogar o
supervisados, contribuye al mejoramiento del balance postural y tiene efecto
moderado en el alivio del dolor.
