Efecto de la infección por influenza A H1N1 en mujeres embarazadas y en los neonatos en 2009. Revisión de la literatura

RESUMEN
El objetivo de esta revisión fue conocer que está descrito en la literatura, en inglés, a cerca de la infección por influenza A H1N1 (virus pandémico) en mujeres embarazadas durante el año 2009 y cuál es su impacto en la salud del neonato. La revisión de la literatura mostró que la infección por el virus de influenza A H1N1 (2009) durante el embarazo, se asocia con un incremento en el riesgo de hospitalización, ingreso a la Unidad de Terapia Intensiva (UCI) y de muerte en las mujeres embarazadas; y con un bajo peso al nacer, parto prematuro y mortalidad en el recién nacido. La inmunización en contra del virus de la influenza pandémico en mujeres embarazadas es fácil y previene daños a la salud en las mujeres y en los neonatos.
