Objetivos:
Al terminar la lectura de este artículo tendrá los tips necesarios para: 1) Identificar un acetábulo displásico en una radiografía, 2) Conocer la incidencia en México de Displasia de Cadera en el Adulto (DCA), 3) Aplicar los conocimientos de su patomecánica a las decisiones de tratamiento, 4) identificar sus principales características anatómicas y las alteraciones que pueden resultar de tratamientos fallidos, 5) cuáles son los principales datos y signos que se deben buscar en la anamnesis y la exploración física, 6) aplicar correctamente los auxiliares diagnóstico actualmente disponibles, 7) cómo enfrentar las decisiones de tratamiento no quirúrgico, los quirúrgicos artroplásticos endoprotésicos y los no protésicos tanto en fémur como en acetábulo y el papel de la cirugía de salvamento en la DCA.
