RESUMEN
El electrocardiograma es un método de diagnóstico no invasivo de gran utilidad, empleado además para identificar riesgo cardiovascular. La población longeva se incrementa día a día en todo el mundo. Varios estudios señalan la frecuencia alta en que se encuentran alteraciones electrocardiográficas en estudios de rutina practicados a ancianos, siendo más frecuentes las modificaciones de forma proporcional con la edad. En la revisión son abordados los diferentes elementos evaluados en el análisis electrocardiográfico, haciendo énfasis en los factores que caracterizan específicamente al anciano, ya sea por el propio envejecimiento o por la comorbilidad asociada, lo cual hace que la interpretación de cada elemento requiera de un análisis particular para este grupo de edades.REFERENCIAS (EN ESTE ARTÍCULO)
