RESUMEN
Existen diferentes alteraciones hipertensivas durante el embarazo, las cuales constituyen las complicaciones más comunes y conllevan una alta morbimortalidad tanto para el feto como para la madre. Es de vital importancia el reconocimiento oportuno de las mismas y el manejo óptimo de cada caso en específico para mejorar la sobrevida fetal y el posparto. Así mismo, es necesario el conocimiento del manejo, ya que se debe de tener en cuenta el potencial efecto adverso en el feto de los diferentes fármacos utilizados en mujeres hipertensas no embarazadas.
