Unidad de Ictus Agudo. Un nuevo concepto asistencial

RESUMEN

Las unidades de ictus constituyen un elemento clave en la atención organizada de la enfermedad cerebrovascular y su impacto sobre los resultados finales del tratamiento ha sido bien demostrado. Se realiza una actualización de las características generales de la atención de pacientes en unidades de Ictus, que se basa en la revisión de la literatura médica y la experiencia personal de los autores en el Hospital «Hermanos Ameijeiras» .
