FRAGMENTO
La cirugía de revascularización miocárdica (CRM) comenzó a realizarse de forma regular a partir de 1960. En breve tiempo fue aceptada co-mo un adecuado método de tratamiento porque lograba aliviar el dolor anginoso y mejorar la expec-tativa de vida en subgrupos de pacientes con en-fermedad coronaria severa.
Los resultados de la CRM, evidenciados en una serie creciente de estudios randomizados, la han convertido en el proceder quirúrgico más practica-do y evaluado en el mundo.
