RESUMEN

Objetivo: hacer la primera descripción en lengua castellana de la vía de abordaje de Lobenhoffer para el tratamiento de fracturas en la región posteromedial de la meseta tibial. Material y métodos: Presentamos 14 casos clínicos de pacientes con fracturas en la región posteromedial de la tibia tratadas en nuestro servicio mediante el abordaje de Lobenhoffer. Resultados: Todos los pacientes fueron valorados retrospectivamente tras un período mínimo de dos años, valorando las complicaciones y el estado y función de la rodilla -knee society system (KSS)- calificando los resultados del estado de la rodilla de buenos a excelentes. Funcionalmente los resultados fueron de excelentes o buenos en 8 casos, regulares en 3 casos y malos en los 3 restantes. Conclusión: La vía de Lobenhoffer representa una vía posterior de abordaje fácil, reproducible y con un escaso índice de complicaciones.
