Los avances en las técnicas quirúrgicas menos invasivas, el uso de anestesia general (AG) con fármacos de corta acción y el mayor énfasis sobre el egreso de los pacientes el mismo día de la cirugía, ha contribuido a un incremento en el número de cirugías realizadas de forma ambulatoria.
