FRAGMENTO
El cromosoma Filadelfia (Ph) fue la primera anormalidad cromosómica asociada con
una enfermedad maligna específica en humanos: la leucemia mieloide crónica
(LMC). Este cromosoma es el resultado de una translocación recíproca, la
t(9;22)(q34;q11), que da lugar a la formación del gen híbrido BCR-ABL en el
cromosoma Ph.1 Esta es la característica distintiva de los pacientes con LMC y si
bien no se reporta en el 100 % de los casos, puede aparecer hasta en el 95 %.
