Consideraciones anestésicas en HIPEC

FRAGMENTO
La citorreducción quirúrgica (CRQ) combinada con la administración de quimioterapia intraperitoneal hipertérmica (HIPEC, del inglés
heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy) se ha desarrollado en los últimos años como una técnica efectiva para el tratamiento de tumores malignos en la superficie peritoneal, los cuales son catalogados en general como carcinomatosis peritoneal y tienen su origen en tumores abdominales ginecológicos y no ginecológicos (con mayor frecuencia cáncer de ovario, gástrico, de colon y recto), pseudomixoma peritoneal y tumores primarios de peritoneo. Debe considerarse un procedimiento complejo, con un riesgo cardíaco elevado y no exento de complicaciones.
