RESUMEN
La cirugía refractiva corneal moderna ha demostrado ser estable, segura, predecible y eficiente para el tratamiento de la miopía,
hipermetropía y astigmatismo. Se realizó una revisión de la evolución en la historia de la cirugía refractiva corneal haciendo
énfasis en las situaciones que inspiraron su progreso hasta nuestros días.
