Uréter retrocavo

RESUMEN

El uréter retrocavo es una anomalía congénita rara en la cual el uréter derecho pasa por detrás de la vena cava, lo que conduce a grados variables de obstrucción ureteral. Se reporta el caso de un paciente masculino de 29 años de edad que acude al Servicio de Urgencias con un cuadro de cólico renoureteral derecho. Aunque se tiene una importante sospecha del diagnóstico después de la realización de una urografía excretora, el diagnóstico se confirma mediante la realización de tomografía axial computada. Se explica el manejo del paciente, así como los estudios complementarios realizados. También se realiza una revisión de la literatura abarcando los principales puntos con respecto al diagnóstico y tratamiento.
