Prevalencia de neuropatía autonómica cardiovascular en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 y estandarización en población mexicana por medio de la variabilidad de la frecuencia cardiaca

RESUMEN
Objetivo: Estandarizar los parámetros de normalidad de la variabilidad de la frecuencia cardiaca en 100 sujetos sanos y determinar la frecuencia de la neuropatía autonómica cardiovascular en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 en ambos sexos.
Material y métodos: Estudio transversal analítico en dos etapas:
Primera etapa: estandarización de la prueba de variabilidad de la frecuencia cardiaca, captando 100 sujetos sanos entre las edades de 40 y 85 años de edad mediante 3 pruebas a la metodología de Ewing.
Segunda etapa: 41 pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2 en edades de 40 y 85 años. Se utilizó un aparato de electromiografía mediante la utilización del programa HRV con el método de análisis de tiempo, al ejecutar tres pruebas: 6 respiraciones profundas, bipedestación, maniobra de Valsalva. Usamos estadística analítica estimando la t de Student para muestras independientes y el coeficiente de Pearson para establecer la correlación.
Resultados: Se captaron 100 sujetos sanos para obtener valores de referencia. Se evaluaron 41 sujetos con diagnóstico de DM tipo 2. En los pacientes con diabetes mellitus obtuvimos que más del 60% presentaron neuropatía autonómica cardiovascular: 41.4% con disfunción autonómica y 19.4% con neuropatía definida.
Conclusiones: Se logró estandarizar la variabilidad de la frecuencia cardiaca en población mexicana, teniendo como parámetro de referencia para determinar la frecuencia de neuropatía autonómica cardiovascular siendo mayor a la establecida en la literatura internacional.
