Síndrome de Boerhaave. Una causa infrecuente de Perforación esofágica

RESUMEN
El síndrome de Boerhaave o la ruptura esofágica espontanea, es una causa rara de perforación esofágica con elevada mortalidad. Asociada a una ingesta abundante de alimentos con vómitos violentos subsecuentes, presenta síntomas inespecíficos como dolor torácico, disnea, enfisema subcutáneo, etc. El diagnóstico depende de una alta sospecha clínica y el tratamiento varia en dependencia del tiempo de evolución siendo la cirugía la principal opción terapéutica.
