Apnea en los niños prematuros

RESUMEN
La apnea en los niños prematuros es un problema frecuente en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos y es un evento fisiopatológico complejo, que aún precisa de investigación para comprenderlo cabalmente. Es de carácter multifactorial ya que incluye desde factores genéticos hasta problemas de índole diversa que la pueden precipitar. Su tratamiento consiste en medidas no farmacológicas sencillas y metilxantinas que han probado ser lo más efectivo.
