Fibroma uterino y embarazo. Presentación de un caso

RESUMEN
Fundamento: Los fibromas uterinos, también conocidos como miomas o leiomiomas son los tumores benignos más frecuentes de la porción superior del aparato genital femenino; pueden alcanzar gran tamaño, crecen con lentitud y generalmente no requieren de tratamiento.
Presentación de caso: Paciente de 33 años con embarazo de seis semanas que comienza a presentar manchas de sangre oscura y dolor bajo vientre, se detecta a través de ultrasonografía y laparoscopia un mioma de 180 mm vascularizado con un pedículo grueso. Se decide realizar la miomectomía con el consentimiento de la paciente.
Conclusiones: la paciente evolucionó satisfactoriamente. Acudió a consultas prenatales cada 15 días hasta las 39.6 semanas, que se le realizó la cesárea electiva.
