RESUMEN

Cuando se está ante un recién nacido, después de la asistencia primaria se procede a valorar la edad de gestación, para que de acuerdo con ésta y la somatometría, estimar las curvas de crecimiento intrauterino y así conocer los riesgos de los niños recién nacidos según su edad de gestación y sus características al nacer.
