Introducción
En este nuevo milenio, el tema de la seguridad del paciente (patient safety) se ha vuelto cada vez más relevante. La velocidad de la comunicación, el advenimiento de las redes sociales y la torrencial cantidad de información en internet han promovido un paciente cada vez más enterado de su problema médico y una sociedad poco dispuesta a tolerar errores y negligencias.
