Criptococosis diseminada en un paciente inmunocompetente. Reporte de un caso y revisión de la literatura

RESUMEN
La criptococosis es una micosis oportunista causada por
Cryptococcus neoformans, puede presentarse en personas sanas y en sujetos expuestos a palomas, pero los más frecuentemente afectados son los inmunocomprometidos. Se presenta el caso de una paciente de 43 años, que presentó un cuadro subagudo con síntomas respiratorios y
neurológicos. Los datos clínicos y radiológicos revelaron una tumoración en hemitórax izquierdo, que fue compatible con un criptococoma, además de diseminación a SNC. Se descartó inmunocompromiso asociado. Se dio tratamiento
completo por 10 semanas a base de anfotericina B, fluconazol y fluocitosina, sin embargo por persistir con la lesión a nivel de tórax y positividad para el microorganismo, se decide realizar resección de la lesión. Se continuó con antimicóticos y el resultado fue positivo con remisión de la sintomatología y títulos de antígeno negativos en LCR.
