Mini implantes, una opción para el anclaje en Ortodoncia

RESUMEN
Introducción: El anclaje en ortodoncia se hace óptimo cuanto menos se movilice la unidad de anclaje y los mini implantes surgen como respuesta a esta necesidad.
Objetivo: Identificar criterios sobre el uso de los mini implantes como anclaje en Ortodoncia.
Conclusiones: Los mini implantes constituyen una técnica novedosa aplicada en ortodoncia, aunque en Cuba se han utilizado poco. Son considerados una opción para obtener anclaje máximo, aunque no de primera elección para todos los pacientes, pues existen indicaciones, ventajas y desventajas para su aplicación.
