La evaluación del riesgo acumulado plantea que múltiples agentes se conjugan para inducir las enfermedades, y que por lo tanto deben tomarse en cuenta múltiples factores estresantes para llegar a una verdadera comprensión de los motivos por los que ocurren los efectos adversos en la salud.
