FRAGMENTO
Esta guía sobre la tuberculosis tiene la intención de ser un documento para consulta de todo el personal de salud que, de una u otra manera, interviene en el diagnóstico y cuidado del paciente tuberculoso y también una fuente de consulta para estudiantes de medicina y médicos especialistas sobre una patología que afecta a todo el organismo. En vista de que sus conceptos están enmarcados sobre la validez científica actual de lo que hoy se conoce como medicina basada en la evidencia, se aspira a cumplir con ese propósito.
