Ácido zoledrónico revisión perfil farmacológico e indicación para la prevención de fracturas osteoporóticas en mujeres, postmenopáusicas

RESUMEN
El presente trabajo revisa la farmacología básica y clínica del ácido zoledrónico, con base en la evidencia científica existente en la literatura. Este medicamento tradicionalmente ha sido utilizado para el manejo de la resorción ósea secundaria a varios tipos de cáncer. Y recientemente se suma al grupo de bifosfonatos utilizados en el manejo de la osteoporosis, con la particularidad de su administración intravenosa.
