Sepsis grave, choque séptico y disfunción orgánica múltiple secundaria a infección por Kluyvera ascorbata

RESUMEN
Kluyvera, un nuevo género de enterobacterias, es un patógeno emergente. Las especies de Kluyvera han sido aisladas en esputo, orina, heces y sangre.
Kluyvera es un patógeno poco común, pero potencialmente peligroso, tanto en huéspedes inmunocompetentes como inmunocomprometidos, por su capacidad de causar un amplio rango de infecciones y su habilidad para transmitir genes de β-lactamasa de espectro extendido (BLEE). Informamos el caso de un adolescente con sepsis grave y choque séptico secundarios a
K. ascorbata.
