RESUMEN

Se reporta el caso de una paciente con embarazo de 16 semanas, con anemia y diagnóstico presuntivo de mola parcial. En un hospital de segundo nivel de atención se descartó este diagnóstico, mediante ultrasonido, y en el miometrio se encontraron quistes difusos. El ultrasonido Doppler espectral no demostró flujo, pero éste se pudo comprobar mediante angiografía de poder. Se realizó cesárea a las 38 semanas e histerectomía 24 horas después por hemorragia intraabdominal. La angiografía de poder, el Doppler espectral y las concentraciones séricas de gonadotropina coriónica humana son las herramientas diagnósticas más útiles para el diagnóstico diferencial de hemangioma cavernoso difuso del útero. La hemorragia posparto es una complicación probable.
