RESUMEN
La cirrosis hepática es una de las principales problemas de salud en México. Esta enfermedad se ha ubicado dentro de las diez principales causas de mortalidad en las últimas cinco décadas. En el momento actual el trasplante hepático es considerado como un tratamiento efectivo en este tipo de hepatopatía. En esta revisión analizamos las principales indicaciones y contraindicaciones del trasplante hepático.
