FRAGMENTO

La obesidad se define como un exceso de tejido adiposo en el cuerpo, tanto en niños como en adultos; se caracteriza por un desequilibrio entre la ingesta y el gasto de energía; se considera una enfermedad crónica con un componente genético importante y representa, en la actualidad, un problema mundial de salud pública (Cuevas et al, 2009).
