Si bien se reconoce la existencia de enfermedades y complicaciones prevenibles, la experiencia mundial demuestra
que sus tasas no han disminuido significativamente durante
años. Específicamente me refiero a la enfermedad tromboembólica venosa y sus complicaciones periféricas y centrales, como la tromboembolia pulmonar.
