Reporte de un caso de coartación aórtica severa

RESUMEN
El término coartación de aorta (CoAo) se refiere a un estrechamiento de la arteria aorta que causa una obstrucción al flujo aórtico. Paciente masculino de 36 años de edad, con diagnóstico de hipertensión arterial sistémica, de difícil control, ecocardiograma que sólo reporta cardiopatía hipertensiva, ventrículo izquierdo con hipertrofia concéntrica sin alteraciones en la contractilidad, FEVI 69%, sin evidencia de CoAo. TAC con diagnóstico de CoAo con importante circulación colateral. Cateterismo cardiaco con diagnóstico de CoAo Tipo II al 100% postductal con abundantes colaterales. Por lo anterior es sometido a cirugía, reportando como hallazgos quirúrgicos: CoAo severa yuxta-ligamento arterioso, al 100% (TIPO II), sin luz en el sitio coartado, abundante red arterial colateral, realizando anastomosis término-lateral de arteria subclavia izquierda a aorta descendente, sin complicaciones.
