Trastorno autista. Una revisión

RESUMEN
En los pasados 20 años, y en particular en
el último decenio, se ha identificado el autismo como uno de los
trastornos generalizados del desarrollo que aquejan a los niños.
Estudios genéticos y clínicos permiten afirmar que son varios genes
los que están involucrados en este trastorno. En esta comunicación
se revisan algunas de las contribuciones que han permitido caracterizar
esta enfermedad y los avances en su diagnóstico y tratamiento.
