Efectos inmunomoduladores de la célula cebada

RESUMEN
Las células cebadas tienen funciones efectoras tanto en la respuesta inmune innata, como en la adaptativa, promoviendo la inflamación alérgica, remodelación tisular y el daño a los tejidos principalmente debido a su activación sostenida. Sin embargo, los mastocitos también tienen efectos antiinflamatorios e inmunosupresores. De hecho, la célula cebada puede tanto aumentar, como suprimir algunas facetas de una misma respuesta inmunológica. La respuesta que ejercerá la célula cebada dependerá de las bases biológicas individuales.
