RESUMEN
Con el propósito de contar con una amplia revisión de la bibliografía especializada que permita profundizar en la experiencia internacional acerca de la evaluación de los diagnósticos premortem en autopsias realizadas en Cuba y la futura comparación de los resultados obtenidos en la investigación SARCAP se realizó la búsqueda, revisión y el análisis de los trabajos que estuvieron al alcance de los autores. Se presentan y comentan los resultados que destacan la importancia y actualidad de estos estudios, a pesar de la disminución mundial de las autopsias clínicas, lo que confirma la necesidad de su revitalización y máximo aprovechamiento como método para garantizar la más elevada calidad del trabajo médico.
